讀《FT·金融時報》學英語:白蘭度經(jīng)典影片中隱匿的真實“強奸案”

Maria Schneider received critical praise for her performance in 1973's Last Tango in Paris—lauded for her gut-wrenching performance by Roger Ebert as an actress who “doesn't seem to act her role so much as to exude it.” But if Schneider's acting felt realistic in the controversial scene in which Marlon Brando's character rapes her 20-year-old character, it's because Schneider didn't know what was happening at the time.
瑪利亞·施奈德在1973年的電影《巴黎最后的探戈》中的表演大受好評。她令人肝腸寸斷的表演讓Roger Ebert(美國傳奇影評人)贊嘆:“比起表演一個角色,更像是自然地流露。”在這場極具爭議的戲中,馬龍·白蘭度飾演的角色強奸了施奈德飾演的20歲的角色。但或許施奈德的表演看起來真實,是因為她在拍攝時并不知道發(fā)生了什么。



“I'd been in a way horrible to Maria because I didn't tell her what was going on,” Bertulocci said in the recently surfaced clip.“Because I wanted her reaction as a girl, not as an actress.”
“我對待瑪利亞的方式糟透了,因為我沒告訴她發(fā)生了什么。”在最近浮出水面的錄像中,貝托魯奇這樣說道,“因為我想看到她作為一個女孩的反映,而不是一個演員。”

“I wanted her to react humiliated,” he added.“I think she hated me and also Marlon because we didn't tell her.”

英國《獨立報》報道,施奈德曾經(jīng)在2007年的一次采訪中提到了這一事件:

“They only told me about it before we had to film the scene and I was so angry,”she said.

“I should have called my agent or had my lawyer come to the set because you can't force someone to do something that isn't in the script, but at the time, I didn't know that...”

“I felt humuliated and to be honest, I felt a little raped, both by Marlon and by Bertolucci.After the scene, Marlon didn't console me or apologise.Thankfully, there was just one take.”
“我感到被侮辱了,誠實地說,我感覺這有點像強奸。拍攝完這一幕后,馬龍并沒有安慰我或向我道歉。謝天謝地,我們只拍了一次。”

飾演女主角的瑪利亞·施奈德已于2011年2月3日在巴黎離世,她永遠沒有機會聽到來自貝托魯奇的懺悔和道歉了。
