147　be careful of，be careful with，be careful for和be careful about

① be careful of表示“珍重，保重，注意，關(guān)注”，含有警惕、預(yù)防之意，后可跟人或物。

Be careful of your health. 保重身體。

Be careful of the man. 當(dāng)心那人。

提示

后跟where、how引導(dǎo)的從句或不定式時(shí)，要省去of。

You must be careful how to spend the money. 你應(yīng)當(dāng)注意怎樣花這筆錢(qián)。

② be careful with表示“仔細(xì)，小心”，指提醒某人用心、當(dāng)心，后跟物作賓語(yǔ)，不可跟人。

You must be careful with your homework. 做作業(yè)時(shí)你必須非常用心。（=be careful in doing…）

Be more careful with the job. 對(duì)這項(xiàng)工作要更加仔細(xì)。

③ be careful for表示“關(guān)懷，惦記，掛念”，后可跟人或物作賓語(yǔ)。

She is careful for her mother only. 她只惦記著她的母親。

I am always careful for his progress in studies. 我經(jīng)常關(guān)心他學(xué)業(yè)上的進(jìn)展。

④ be careful about表示“謹(jǐn)慎，當(dāng)心，注意”。

Be careful about what you say. 說(shuō)話要謹(jǐn)慎。

It's the one thing you've got to be careful about. 這件事情務(wù)必當(dāng)心。
