① desirable稱心的，合意的，可取的；吸引人的。

She looked very desirable in that dress. 她穿那套衣服很有魅力。

It is a desirable house. 那是一套合意的房子。

② desirous想要的，向往的，渴望的。

He is desirous of obtaining/to obtain a position in the Civil Service. 他想要在政府文官機(jī)構(gòu)找到一個(gè)職位。
