449　look on/upon…as，look up to…as，regard as，have…as和take…as

① look on/upon…as意為“把……當作，把……視為”，相當于regard/think sb./sth. to be。

He looked on the old man as his father. 他把老人當作父親一樣看待。

I look upon it as a successful experiment. 我認為這是一個很成功的試驗。

② look up to…as意為“尊敬……為，尊崇……為”。

I look up to her as my teacher. 我尊她為老師。

He looks up to the scientist as a shining example. 他尊崇那位科學家為光輝榜樣。

③ regard…as意為“把……看成是”，主要指感情上、思想上形成的看法，也指根據(jù)外部情況得出的評判。

He is generally regarded as the best student in the class. 大家都認為他是班上最好的學生。

People regard him as the greatest scientist in the twentieth century. 人們把他看成是20世紀最偉大的科學家。

④ have…as和take…as表示“把……看成是”。

The boy had the cat as his friend. 那男孩把小貓當成朋友。
