564　pull on，pull off和put on，put off

① pull on和put on都可以表示“穿，戴”（衣服、襪子等），但pull on常指“匆匆地穿上，戴上”，put on為常用詞。

He pulled on his coat and went out. 他匆匆穿上大衣出去了。

Mother asked her to put on a coat. 母親要她穿上大衣。

② pull off常表示“（車(chē)）駛離，出站”，put off常表示“推遲，延期”。

When he arrived，the train had pulled off. 他到達(dá)時(shí)，火車(chē)已經(jīng)開(kāi)出了。

They put off the meeting until next Friday. 他們把會(huì)議推遲到下周五。

提示

pull off同時(shí)也是pull on （穿上，戴上）的反義詞，表示“脫去，脫掉”。

He pulled off his cap before entering the room. 他進(jìn)屋前摘下了帽子。
