① too…not to同too…to意思相反，表示的是肯定意義，主語通常是人，意為“非常……能，很……不會不”。

He is too careful not to have noticed that. 他很細(xì)心，不會沒注意到那一點(diǎn)。

She is too clever not to understand the question. 她很聰明，必定會理解這個問題。

Tom is too wise not to work out the math problem. 湯姆很聰明，不會解不出那道數(shù)學(xué)題。（=Tom is so wise that he can work out the math problem.）

You were too angry not to say it. 你在氣頭上，不免說出這樣的話來。

② not/never too…to通常表示肯定意義，意為“不太……而能”，也可表示否定意義，意為“不太……不能”。

She is not too tired to walk on. 她不很累，還能繼續(xù)走。

He is not too old to work. 他年紀(jì)不太大，還能工作。

One is never too old to learn. 人們年紀(jì)再大也能學(xué)習(xí)。/活到老，學(xué)到老。
