give (somebody) a chance 給某人機(jī)會(huì)

與前幾個(gè)例句一樣的形式，give (sb) a chance 表示“給某人機(jī)會(huì)”，也可以用 opportunity 代替 chance。如果想提到具體的機(jī)會(huì)內(nèi)容的話就可以用 chance (opportunity) to+動(dòng)詞的形態(tài)。

例句：

Won't you give me just one more chance?

你能不能再給我一次機(jī)會(huì)?

I'll give you another chance.

我會(huì)再給爾一次機(jī)會(huì)。

I'm going to give you an opportunity to do that.

我會(huì)給你機(jī)會(huì)做那件事。

對話：

A: Bob did a poor job while working.

鮑勃把工作搞砸了。

B: Give him a chance. He'll improve.

再給他一次機(jī)會(huì)吧，他肯定能做好。
