give in (to)接受(原本反對的事情)，服從……屈服，提交(hand in)

在經(jīng)過一番勸說之后，接受原本反對的事情。如果是互相爭吵的狀況，就表示屈服或投降的意思。另外，give in 也可以像 hand in 一樣表示“提交某物”。

例句：

You're going to give in eventually.

你最終肯定會接受的。

I am not going to give in to this.

我絕對不會屈服的。

We gave in to our basic instincts.

我們最終被本能征服了。

She'll not give in to the idea that she will never get married.

她終究不會放棄自己不會結(jié)婚的想法。
