One woman said to another, "My daughter is so smart that she was walking at 7 months old! "

The other replied, "That's no big deal. My son was so clever at that age he made us carry him."

Notes:

一個(gè)女人對(duì)另一個(gè)女人說(shuō)：“我女兒非常聰明，她七個(gè)月就會(huì)走路了!”

表示幾歲用"...years old"，但是小嬰兒還沒(méi)滿一歲，所以把years(年)改成month(月)就可以表達(dá)幾個(gè)月大了;句中的so..that...表示“如此…以致于”，在口語(yǔ)上that通常會(huì)省略，如下面第三句便省略了that。

孩子通常一歲左右才開(kāi)始會(huì)走路，所以這個(gè)媽媽當(dāng)然覺(jué)得自己的孩子很聰明，學(xué)得比一般孩子快。
