Please Reverse the Charges

There was a lady who took a taxi home, and when the taxi driver approached her house she told him to stop, saying, "Okay, here, here is good."

Then she asked the driver, "How much is it?" And the driver replied, "Ten dollars."

Then, after searching in her purse for a while, she said, "Could you please go back 500 meters? I have only seven dollars on me!"

麻煩把車倒回去

有一位女士搭計(jì)程車回家，當(dāng)?shù)诌_(dá)家門口時(shí)，她告訴司機(jī)：“好，就停在這里。”

然后她問：“多少錢?”司機(jī)回答：“十塊錢。”

她翻了翻皮包之后說：“可不可以請你把車子再倒回去五百公尺，因?yàn)槲抑挥衅邏K錢!”

【詞匯講解】

1.reverse倒退。也可以指“翻轉(zhuǎn)”： Their positions are now reversed.他們現(xiàn)在的位置顛倒了。

2.charge收費(fèi)。作動(dòng)詞有“命令”的意思： He charged me to arrange everything.他要我去安排一切事務(wù)。

3.approach接近。也有“著手處理”的意思： He approached the question as a scientist.他以一個(gè)科學(xué)家的眼光去處理這個(gè)問題。
