英語(yǔ)里的數(shù)字單位跟中文有些不同，比如我們的“萬”這個(gè)概念，英語(yǔ)里則是“十千”，“億”則是“百百萬”。
single-digit number: 一位數(shù)
double-digit number: 兩位數(shù)
three-digit number: 三位數(shù)
英語(yǔ)個(gè)、十、百位數(shù)大家基本都能掌握，我們著重講比較燒腦的大數(shù)字：
ten thousand: 一萬
a hundred thousand: 十萬
a million: 一百萬
ten million: 一千萬
a hundred million: 一億
a billion: 十億
ten billion: 一百億
a hundred billion: 一千億
a trillion: 一萬億
注意，hundred, thousand不加s:
除了thousands of, 英語(yǔ)里具體數(shù)字涉及hundred, thousand都不加s:
比如3000是three thousand;
30000是thirty thousand;
30萬是300 hundred thousand, 都不加s;
Million和billion也是相同邏輯
這才是美國(guó)人的英語(yǔ)數(shù)字念法
千位數(shù)：書面、口語(yǔ)表達(dá)方式不同
像1500這樣的，千位百位都是有數(shù)字，個(gè)位十位都是零的數(shù)字，口語(yǔ)中常常把前兩位按十位數(shù)念出來，再加上hundred。
1500即fifteen hundred
6600即sixty-six hundred
但如果是整千的數(shù)字，也就是百位數(shù)是零的話，比如5000，就不能說成“fifty hundred”，而應(yīng)該念“five thousand”。
In math class, the teacher would always say “one thousand and five hundred”: 上數(shù)學(xué)課，老師都會(huì)念“one thousand and five hundred”
If I'm talking to my friend, I'd say, “fifteen hundred.”: 如果是跟朋友聊天，我會(huì)說“fifteen hundred”
不是整數(shù)的數(shù)字怎么念?
竅門是遇到四位數(shù)以上的數(shù)字，我們先遵循英語(yǔ)千、萬...的表達(dá)方法，接著把剩下的數(shù)字放在一起念：
比如
1555: fifteen hundred and fifty five或者one thousand five hundred and fifty-five15555: fifteen thousand five hundred and fifty five155555: a hundred fifty thousand five hundred and fifty five雖然有點(diǎn)搞，不過大家多看幾遍，就會(huì)理解其中的規(guī)律了;價(jià)格怎么念?
去過美國(guó)的朋友一定知道，美國(guó)的價(jià)格經(jīng)常以.99結(jié)尾，碰到這類數(shù)字該怎么念呢?
一般表達(dá)價(jià)格的時(shí)候，念法都會(huì)有所簡(jiǎn)化。比如小數(shù)點(diǎn)(demical point)就會(huì)直接省略，不用說point; 而dollar等錢的單位在口語(yǔ)里也常常不說。
price tag: 價(jià)標(biāo)
dollar shops: 一元店
nine ninety-nine: $9.99
以下是Adam在節(jié)目里舉的一些價(jià)格例子，大家都聽對(duì)了嗎?
nine thirty: $9.30
nine forty: $9.40
nine ninety-five: $9.95
ninety-nine ninety-five: $99.95
Words like “dollars” and “cents” are often omitted in spoken English: 口語(yǔ)里”塊”和”毛”經(jīng)常省略You‘ll often hear “nine ninety-nine” instead of “nine dollars and ninety-nine cents”: 9塊9毛9一般說成”nine ninety-nine”, 而不是“nine dollars and ninety-nine cents”
People simplify these number-related expressions for the sake of convenience: 許多數(shù)字的念法被簡(jiǎn)化了，為了說起來更方便小數(shù)和分?jǐn)?shù)
小于1的數(shù)字，最前面的零口語(yǔ)里可以省略，比如0.8就是point eight。
分?jǐn)?shù)的念法和中文是反過來的，比如：
1/5是one fifth; 3/5是three fifth, 1/10是one tenth另外注意，后綴要加th
decimal: 小數(shù)
(zero) point eight: 0.8
(zero) point five: 0.5
percentage: 百分?jǐn)?shù)
fraction: 分?jǐn)?shù)
one fourth/one quarter: 1/4
