Oh! what will become of thee, poor little bird?
哦！你會(huì)變成什么，可憐的小鳥？
The muttering storm in the distance is heard;
已經(jīng)聽到了遠(yuǎn)處暴風(fēng)雪低沉的聲音；
The rough winds are waking, the clouds growing black,
狂風(fēng)已經(jīng)醒來，云已經(jīng)越來越黑，
They'll soon scatter snowflakes all over thy back!
它們很快就會(huì)將雪片灑在你的背上！
From what sunny clime hast thou wandered away?
你是從哪片陽光明媚的土地上悄悄溜走的？
And what art thou doing this cold winter day?
這樣寒冷的冬天你怎么度過？
I'm picking the gum from the old peach tree;
我正從老桃樹上取樹膠；
The storm doesn't trouble me. Pee, dee, dee!
風(fēng)暴不會(huì)打擾我。
But what makes thee seem so unconscious of care?
但是什么使你對(duì)關(guān)心毫無察覺？
The brown earth is frozen, the branches are bare:
棕色的土地已經(jīng)結(jié)冰，樹枝已經(jīng)光禿；
And how canst thou be so light-hearted and free,
你如何能如此無憂無慮，自由自在？
As if danger and suffering thou never should'st see,
仿佛你永遠(yuǎn)看不到危險(xiǎn)和痛苦，
When no place is near for thy evening nest,
當(dāng)沒有地方能夠做你夜晚?xiàng)⒌某惭ǎ?/p>
No leaf for thy screen, for thy bosom no rest?
沒有樹葉為你遮擋，沒有地方安放你的胸膛呢？
Because the same Hand is a shelter for me,
因?yàn)橥瑯拥氖衷诒Ｗo(hù)我，
That took off the summer leaves. Pee, dee, dee!
也是它拿走了夏天的樹葉。
But man feels a burden of care and of grief,
但是人們感覺到關(guān)心和悲傷的負(fù)擔(dān)，
While plucking the cluster and binding the sheaf:
當(dāng)拔掉一叢，捆起一束時(shí)，
In the summer we faint, in the winter we're chilled,

With ever a void that is yet to be filled.
