By the time I'm finished rinsing off my breakfast dishes, "my coffee is ready" and "so I pour myself a cup." 等到我沖洗完了吃早餐時用的碟子后，“咖啡就煮好了”并且“我會先倒出一杯。”

Notice the use of that verb, pour. 注意“倒”這個動詞。

We use that verb when we are removing liquid from a bottle and putting it into a cup or a glass. 當(dāng)我們把瓶子里的液體放進杯子或酒杯里的時候會用到那個動詞。

We also used that verb, pour, when I said, "I pour myself a bowl of cereal." 我們也在我說，“我倒上一碗麥片。”的時候用到過“倒”這個動詞。

Now, cereal isn't liquid, but it is something that you can put into another container, 麥片雖然不是液態(tài)的，但是你能把它放進另一個容器里，

in this case, into a bowl, and it comes out of the bigger container and into the smaller container. 在這里是倒進碗里，它從更大容器里流出來，流到更小的容器里。

So, it comes out of the cereal box and goes into the bowl. 所以，麥片從麥片盒里倒進碗里。

So, we use that verb usually when we talk about liquid things like water or milk, but you can also use it when we talk about cereal. 因此，我們一般是在說到像水或牛奶這類液態(tài)物時使用那個動詞，但在說到麥片的時候也可以用它。

Well, "I pour myself a cup of coffee" and I "put the rest in a Thermos for work." 嗯，“我給自己倒一杯咖啡”然后我“把剩下的裝到保溫瓶里，以便上班時使用。”

A Thermos, which is "Thermos," is a bottle that keeps hot liquid hot and cold liquid cold. 保溫瓶(Thermos)是用來保持熱液體溫?zé)?，涼液體冰涼瓶子。

So, if you have hot coffee and you put it into a Thermos, the Thermos—this bottle—will keep it hot for a long time. 因此，如果你有熱咖啡，你把它倒進保溫瓶里，保溫瓶會讓它在很長一段時候后都很溫?zé)帷?/p>
