This chopper crew know this stuff,and I'm safe on the deck,and the helicopter is out of here. 這隊(duì)機(jī)組人員駕輕就熟 我安全著陸以后 直升機(jī)就返航了

But things don't always go that smoothly. 但事情不會(huì)總是如此順利

In Guatamala,Simon and I plan to rappel together out of that breen helicopter. 在危地馬拉時(shí) 西蒙和我打算一起從盤旋的直升機(jī)上繩降下去

And this time, we went in hot. 然而這次 我們踏進(jìn)了火坑

There's a live volcano beneath us,That's the lava. 我們下方有座活火山 那就是巖漿

You can feel the heat coming out of this stuff. 你能感覺到它散發(fā)出來的熊熊熱氣

Must have hundred of feets here,It's hot. 這兒起碼離地有幾百尺高 但還是很熱

You know there's no land right on top of a volcano, 飛機(jī)無法停留在 一座巖漿迸發(fā)的火山上

lava, just off the back side of it,Smoking sulfur fumes everywhere, 巖漿從后面噴發(fā) 到處彌漫著嗆人的硫磺煙霧

and winds that were just throwing the helicopter all over the place, and it was a real battle. 狂風(fēng)把直升機(jī)吹得左右搖擺 這真是一場(chǎng)惡仗

You've got a helicopter higher,but he can't see what's going on. 我們得提升直升機(jī)高度 但這樣一來飛行員無法看到下面的情況

And, basically, I become the pilot's eyes,so I tell the pilot exactly what's going on. 我?guī)缀醭闪孙w行員的眼睛 告訴他們下一步的指示

Okay, then, we're good.Bear is underneath...the helo. 好的 一切正常 貝爾已經(jīng)在 飛機(jī)下方

The pilot was fighting with the helicopter,cause the winds were throwing the helicopter all over the place, 飛行員努力控制著直升機(jī) 因?yàn)榇箫L(fēng)將飛機(jī)吹得東倒西歪

and I was lowering Simon down the other side. 那時(shí)我正要從一側(cè)把西蒙放下去

I was halfway down the rope,between the helicopter and the ground. 我就掛在半空中 在飛機(jī)與地面之間

And the pilot said,Dave, I got to go.I can't hold the helicopter any more. 這時(shí)飛行員說 戴夫 我得走了 我控制不住飛機(jī)了

I had one hand on Simon,and I'm trying to look at Bear, I'm trying to lower Simon. 我一手扯著西蒙 一邊關(guān)照貝爾 一邊放下西蒙

I'm trying to convince the pilot just to hold on for another, 同時(shí)還要說服飛行員再堅(jiān)持15秒

you know, 15 seconds so I could get Simon to the ground. 好讓西蒙安全著陸

Literally, just about to pull my knife out to cut the rope. 然后 我馬上拔出刀子 切斷繩索
