(Verner rushing in with Albert.)

爸爸，我很好，你的阿爾伯特一點事也沒有，親愛的爸爸。你快說話，快說話呀！
He can not, boy!
孩子，讓他歇一會。
You grant him life?
先生，你饒恕他的性命了？
Gesler says: I do.
蓋斯勒說：是的。
And we are free?
我和爸爸都自由了？
You are. (Crossing angrily behind.)
是的。（暗中極為氣憤）
Open his vest, And give him air.
快解開他的外套，讓他喘喘氣。
(Albert opens his father's vest, and the arrow drops. Tell starts, fixes his eyes on Albert and clasps him to his breast.)
（阿爾伯特解開父親外衣，那支箭掉在地上，泰爾猛然一愣，眼睛盯著阿爾伯特，一把將他摟進懷里）
My boy! My boy!
我的兒子，我的兒子！
Gesler says: For what Hid you that arrow in your breast? Speak, slave!
蓋斯勒說：你在胸口藏那支箭做什么？說，你這奴隸！
Tell says: To kill thee, tyrant, had I slain my boy!
泰爾說：如果我失手殺害了我的孩子，這支箭就留給你這個暴君！
