iv. it is ...的其他句型

1. It is time (high time, about time) that ... should/did ... (從句用虛擬語(yǔ)氣)

It is time for sb. to do sth.

It is time for us to go to school.

我們?cè)撋蠈W(xué)去了。

It is high time that you made up your mind to study hard at your lessons.

你們?cè)缭撓露Q心努力學(xué)習(xí)功課了。

2. It is/has been+一段時(shí)間+since ...“自從……時(shí)候以來(lái)已經(jīng)多久了”

It is three years since we began to learn English.

自從我們開始學(xué)英語(yǔ)到現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)三年了。

3. It was/will be+long/一段時(shí)間+before ...“過(guò)了很久/將過(guò)很久才……”

It wasn't/won't be long before ...“過(guò)不了多久就會(huì)……”

It was three days before he came back safe and sound from abroad.

過(guò)了三天他才從國(guó)外平平安安地回來(lái)了。

4. It was+時(shí)間點(diǎn)+when ...

It was 12 o'clock when he went to bed last night.

昨天夜里他睡覺去的時(shí)候已經(jīng)是12點(diǎn)了。

5. It is the first (second, third ...) time that +現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)

It is the third time that we have been here to visit our old friends.

這是我們第三次來(lái)這里拜訪我們的老朋友了。

6. It is up to sb. to do sth.“應(yīng)由某人做某事”

It is up to you to decide when we should have the sports meeting.

由你決定我們何時(shí)舉行運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)。

7. It seems (appears, looks) as if ....“看起來(lái)好像/似乎……”

It seems as if she has changed her mind that she will buy a car next week.
