vi. 定語從句中的主謂一致

1. 一般情況下，關(guān)系代詞作從句主語時，從句謂語動詞應(yīng)和先行詞在數(shù)上保持一致。

I, who am your friend, will advise you to try it again.

我，作為你的朋友將會建議你再嘗試一次。

The river, which runs through London, is called the Thames.

這條河叫泰晤士河，它流經(jīng)倫敦。

2. 集體名詞作先行詞，被視作一個整體時，關(guān)系代詞用which，從句謂語用單數(shù)；被視作若干個體的組合時，用who作關(guān)系代詞，謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)；常見的集體名詞有：family, audience, class, club, government, union, staff, team, couple, committee, crew, firm, public, orchestra, company等。

He joined the party , which was in power.

他入了黨，是個執(zhí)政黨。

He joined the party who were walking before him.

他加入了走在他前面的一群人。

3. 先行詞是“one of + 復(fù)數(shù)名詞”時，從句謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)。

That is one of the pens that were given to us for study.

那是給我們用來學(xué)習(xí)的鋼筆之一。

如果先行詞是“the right/just the/the only/the very/exactly the + one of + 復(fù)數(shù)名詞”時，謂語動詞用單數(shù)。

He is the only one of the teachers who knows Japanese in our school.

他是我們學(xué)校唯一懂日語的老師。

He is one of the teachers who know Japanese in our school.

他是我們學(xué)校中懂日語的老師之一。

4. 強調(diào)句型中，形式主語it后總是用單數(shù)is/was；強調(diào)主語時，從句謂語動詞與被強調(diào)主語部分的數(shù)保持一致。

It is they who have done the job.

是他們做了這項工作。

It is I who am a teacher.

是我是老師。

It may be Tom who has known about the accident.

可能是湯姆已經(jīng)知道了這個事故。

It should be the students that are the main body of the classroom teaching.

課堂教學(xué)的主體應(yīng)該是學(xué)生。
