Last time we learned a sentence pattern: If S + had done, S+would have done. 該句式表示對(duì)過去發(fā)生的事情的一種假設(shè)，句中所說的事情與過去的實(shí)際情況相反。

This morning I would like to tell you a new sentence pattern : If S had do, S + should do. 這個(gè)句式也是對(duì)過去發(fā)生的事情的一種假設(shè)，句中所表示的意思與實(shí)際情況相反。那么跟前面講的句式有何不同呢?不同就在主句中的主語(yǔ)如果是第一人稱的話，就可以用should，其他人稱不可用，若是第一人稱，當(dāng)然也可用would. 例如習(xí)題中的第4.5題就可以改為：I shouldn't have done it like that if I hadn't been so hard up. I should have told it to my mother if I had thought of that.
