Last time we learned a sentence pattern which is : If it had not been for, S wouldn't ( couldn't might not ) have done. 這個(gè)句子是表示過(guò)去某人或某事要不是如何，在過(guò)去就不會(huì)有那樣的結(jié)果【習(xí)題答案】

1 要不是有你及時(shí)的幫助，我們會(huì)陷入嚴(yán)重的困境。

【正常語(yǔ)序】If it hadn't been for your timely help, we would have gotten into serious trouble.

【倒裝語(yǔ)序】Had it not for your timely help, we would have gotten into serious trouble.

2 要不是你當(dāng)時(shí)及時(shí)控制住了你的情緒，你或許會(huì)做出傻事兒出來(lái)。

【正常語(yǔ)序】If it hadn't been your getting a hold of yourself, you might have done something dangerous and regretful.

【倒裝語(yǔ)序】Had it not been for your getting a hold of yourself, you might have done something dangerous and regretful.

3 要不是有他們的支持，我們是不會(huì)獲得選舉的。

【正常語(yǔ)序】If it hadn't been for their support , we couldn't have won the election.

【倒裝語(yǔ)序】Had it not been for their support, we couldn't have won the election.

4 要不是你當(dāng)年不努力讀書，你那時(shí)就不是國(guó)家公務(wù)員了，而是農(nóng)民了。

【正常語(yǔ)序】If it hadn't been your hitting the books, you wouldn't have been a public servant instead of a peasant.

【倒裝語(yǔ)序】Had it not been your hitting the books, you wouldn't have been a public servant instead of a peasant.

Please look at the following sentence: If you had taken her advice, you wouldn't be in such trouble now. 如果那時(shí)你聽(tīng)了她的勸告，你現(xiàn)在就不會(huì)陷入這么大的麻煩了。

We can see : 主句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用的是過(guò)去將來(lái)時(shí)，表示那個(gè)動(dòng)作發(fā)生在現(xiàn)在，而從句的謂語(yǔ)則用的是過(guò)去完成時(shí)，表示那個(gè)動(dòng)作發(fā)生在過(guò)去。

The above sentence is a Conditional Sentences of Mixed Time. 上面提及的句子稱為“錯(cuò)綜條件句”。錯(cuò)綜條件句就是主句和從句的動(dòng)作發(fā)生的時(shí)間不一致，那么這是我們就要根據(jù)主句和從句中各自的動(dòng)作發(fā)生的時(shí)間做調(diào)整。

If the weather had been more favorable, the crops would be growing still better. 如果前些日子天氣好的話，莊稼現(xiàn)在就會(huì)長(zhǎng)得更好。該句中從句用的是過(guò)去完成時(shí)had been，主句用的是過(guò)去將來(lái)進(jìn)行時(shí):would be growing。此句話言外之意就是：The weather wasn't favorable a few days ago and it is just so-so that the crops is growing now. 前些日子天氣不好，莊稼現(xiàn)在生長(zhǎng)還行。

If he had received six more votes, he would be our chairman now. 如果他那時(shí)多得六票，他現(xiàn)在就是我們的主席了。改句話中，從句用的是過(guò)去完成時(shí)：had received, 這就示意這該動(dòng)作發(fā)生在過(guò)去，主句用的是過(guò)去將來(lái)時(shí)：would be這就示意這該動(dòng)作發(fā)生在現(xiàn)在. 此句話言外之意就是：He didn't receive six more votes and he isn't our chairman now. 他沒(méi)有多獲得6票因此他現(xiàn)在不是我們主席。

So from today's example sentences, we can get tow typical sentence patterns: 1 If S had done, S would be doing. 2 If S had done, S would do. 第一個(gè)句式是假設(shè)過(guò)去的情況是那樣的話，現(xiàn)在就正在進(jìn)行這這個(gè)動(dòng)作。

第二個(gè)句式就是假設(shè)過(guò)去的情況是那樣的話，現(xiàn)在就是這樣的狀況。

在錯(cuò)綜條件句中，要特別注意時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)。句子中必須給出明確的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)或是通過(guò)上下文中可以看得出明顯的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)，否則就按照我們前10多期的句型中的謂語(yǔ)形式套用。
