第一、我們可以說keep up one's spirits。我們來看一個例子：In trouble, good company helps to keep up your spirits. 在困難中，好友能使你振作精神。

注解1：In trouble這個介詞短語是“有麻煩”“倒霉”“處于困境”“陷入困境”“處于不幸中”的意思。例如：1. Don't lose your head(慌亂) if your team is in trouble. 如果你的團(tuán)隊有麻煩了，你也不要驚慌失措。2. They always turn to(轉(zhuǎn)而求助于，轉(zhuǎn)而求教于) me when they are in trouble.每當(dāng)碰到困難時，他們總是回來找我。3. Now I'm in trouble. I shall have to bank on (指望，依靠，依賴)your support. 我現(xiàn)在遇到麻煩了，我將不得不依賴您的支持。4. I'm in trouble with (在......危險的處境中)the police over drugs. 我因毒品事落入警方手中。5. You'll be in trouble if you don't watch your step.(小心行事，謹(jǐn)慎行事). 你要是不謹(jǐn)慎從事就要倒霉了。

注解2：Company是“同伴”“同伙”的意思。His father asked him to avoid bad company. 他父親要他不要交壞朋友。Company作為“公司”的意思解時，是可數(shù)名詞，但是作作名詞“客人”“同伴”的意思解時，前面不能加冠詞a或the，也不能用復(fù)數(shù)形式。

第二、我們可以說keep one's chin up。Chin是“下巴”的意思。平時生活中我們走在路上把昂首挺胸，下巴微揚(yáng)，看起來就很有精神。Keep one's chin up這個習(xí)語很生動形象地表示出“振作精神”“抖擻精神”的意思。我們來看一個例子：A little smile from our patients will be enough to keep our chins up. 患者的一個笑臉，就會讓我們振作精神。

第三，我們可以說keep one's pecker up。Pecker也是spirit的意思。 Keep one's pecker up意思就是保持振作的精神，保持樂觀的精神。

我們來看2個例句：Though he failed in the examination1, Tom kept his pecker up and went on studying hard. 雖然湯姆考試不及格，但他振作精神繼續(xù)努力學(xué)習(xí)。Don't be distressed2 by this defeat. It's just one of those things. You should keep your pecker up and make a greater effort to achieve success. 別為這次失敗煩憂了，這是難免的事。我們應(yīng)該振作精神，為取得成功而更加努力。

注解1：Go on doing sth意思是繼續(xù)做某事。例如：They just go on repeating the same few simple phrases. 他們就是不斷重復(fù)同樣幾句簡單的短句。如果后面接名詞的話，就用go on with sth。例如：Go on with the treatment. It is doing you good(對某人有好處，對某人害的表達(dá)是do sb harm). 你要繼續(xù)進(jìn)行這種療法。它對你是有效的。I can't go on with my writing, my pen is broken. 我不能繼續(xù)寫了，我的筆壞了。

注解2：Make an effort是努力的意思。例如：You'll get better as long as you are willing to make an effort. 只要你愿意努力你一定能恢復(fù)得更好的。We must make an effort to preserve our forests. 我們必須要盡力保護(hù)我們的森林。Achieve success是“取得成績”“取得成功”的意思。
