1. Once there was a little kitty

1.很久以前，

Whiter than snow;

曾經(jīng)有一只小貓

In a barn she used to frolic,

皮毛白得勝過(guò)白雪

Long time ago.

它常常在谷倉(cāng)里嬉戲

2. In the barn a little mousie

2.很久以前

Ran to and fro;

在谷倉(cāng)里有只小老鼠，

For she heard the kitty coming,

來(lái)來(lái)回回，竄來(lái)竄去

Long time ago.

因?yàn)樗?tīng)到了小貓來(lái)了。

3. Two eyes had little kitty,

3很久以前，

Black as a sloe;

小貓長(zhǎng)著一雙眼睛

And they spied the little mousie,

漆黑如墨，

Long time ago.

就是這銳利的雙眼發(fā)現(xiàn)了小老鼠。

4. Four paws had little kitty,

4，很久以前，

Paws soft as dough;

小貓長(zhǎng)著四只爪子，

And they caught the little mousie;

它們?nèi)彳浫缑鎴F(tuán)；

Long time ago.

就是它們抓住了小老鼠。

5. Nine teeth had little kitty,

5.很久以前，

All in a row;

小貓嘴里長(zhǎng)著九顆牙齒，

And they bit the little mousie,

它們整齊地排成一排，

Long time ago;

就是它們咬住了小老鼠。

6. When the teeth bit little mousie,

6.很久以前，

Little mouse cried “Oh!”

當(dāng)小貓的牙齒咬住了小老鼠，

But she got away from kitty,

小老鼠恐懼地叫著”哎呀！“

Long time ago.

可是她成功地從貓嘴里脫逃了。
