465　return還是return back

1　return 作及物動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，表示“歸還，還給”，后面不可再用back，因?yàn)閞eturn 本身就相當(dāng)于give back，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

return sb. +sth.

return sth. to sb.

He has returned the books to the library. 他已經(jīng)把書還給圖書館了。

You haven't returned her the money yet. 你還沒有把錢還給她呢 。

You haven't returned the money to her yet.

2　return 作不及物動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，表示“返回，回到”，相當(dāng)于go back或come back，也不可同back連用。

He returned home last night. 他昨天夜里回家來的。（=come back home）

She will return to the factory in a week. 她將在1周后返回工廠。（=go back to the factory）

比較

return是非延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞，與go, come, leave, start, begin等動(dòng)詞一樣，不可與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語連用。

He has returned home for a month . （誤）

He returned home a month ago . （正）

It is a month since he returned home. （正）他回家已經(jīng)一個(gè)月了。
