托福詞匯之“火冒三丈”

　　有沒有遇到過脾氣很不好的老板?如果你沒有按時(shí)完成工作，他就會(huì)暴跳如雷呢?

　　最近Mary可就遇到這樣的問題了：

　　Mary's been always very slow in her work. Her boss has warned her several times. Yesterday, when she again missed the deadline for a report, he hit the ceiling and fired her on the spot.

　　瑪麗的工作速度總是很慢。她的老板已經(jīng)警告她好幾次了。昨天，當(dāng)她的老板聽說她又沒能在限期前寫完一個(gè)報(bào)告，他火冒三丈，當(dāng)時(shí)就解雇了她。

　　上面這句話里面的 hit the ceiling 就是“火冒三丈，暴跳如雷”的意思，怒氣沖的都要到天花板了，看來真的是很生氣哦。
