翻譯注釋：

金風(fēng)玉露

金風(fēng)玉露其實就是指代秋天，許淵沖先生這里一句When Autumn’s Golden wind embraces Dew of Jades，就從字面來看，也還是很有意境很優(yōu)美的。

忍顧鵲橋歸路

鵲橋——在我們的語境中，“鵲橋”是個很有詩意的畫面，而且又和七夕的傳說聯(lián)系在一起，但是文化差異的原因，magpie在英語中并沒有什么美好的象征意義，而且老外對七夕的傳說基本上也沒什么深刻印象，哪怕對此有所了解，也未必就能對“鵲橋”這個詞產(chǎn)生審美和詩意的聯(lián)想。所以許淵沖先生在這里將“鵲橋”虛化成了homeward way：回家的路。其實這里這句“忍顧鵲橋歸路”也翻譯得相當(dāng)簡單：Can they bear a separate homeward way? 如何能忍受獨自歸家?就是這個意思。

兩情若是久長時，又豈在朝朝暮暮

If love between both sides can last for aye，

Why need they stay together night and day?

這里last for aye中，aye意為“永遠(yuǎn)”，古英語，這里用看上去比forever要典雅。
