英國女王最后一只柯基犬離世

The queen's only remaining corgi has died, just six months after the death of her famous corgi Willow.

在英國女王伊麗莎白二世著名的柯基愛犬威洛去世6個月后，她僅存的一只柯基犬也于日前離世。

The dog, Whisper, was not a descendant of the queen's original corgi, but rather the pet of a former gamekeeper, Bill Fenwick.

這只名為魏斯勃的狗狗并不是女王養(yǎng)的第一只柯基犬的后代，而是前看守人比爾·芬威克的寵物。

The monarch inherited Whisper in 2016 after Fenwick died.

在芬威克于2016年去世后，女王領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了魏斯勃。

His late wife, Nancy, used to care for the queen's many dogs when she was away from the Palace, so the queen returned the favor and took in Whisper as her royal companion.

It is not yet known what was the cause of death was but he reportedly passed away at Windsor Castle after being ill for several weeks.

The Queen still has two dogs, Candy and Vulcan, dachshund and corgi crosses.
