臉書上可以搜索女性好友照片,而男性好友的照片卻搜不到,這一發(fā)現(xiàn)又把臉書推向風口浪尖。
The feature was spotted by Belgian securityresearcher Inti De Ceukelaire, whose findings led tofurther revelations that Facebook prompts its usersto search for photos of female friends in bikinis.
比利時安全研究員Inti De Ceukelaire發(fā)現(xiàn)這一現(xiàn)象,另外,臉書會讓用戶搜索到其女性好友穿比基尼的照片,又進一步證實了他們的發(fā)現(xiàn)。
“Facebook has modified their creepy hidden search feature this weekend,” he tweeted earlierthis week. “You can no longer retrieve hidden photos from your male friends. Women can/maystill be stalked.”
本周的早些時候他發(fā)推文表示,“這個周末,臉書已經(jīng)修改了被他們隱藏的、很惡心的搜索功能,你搜索不到男性好友的隱藏照片,但是卻可以搜索女性好友的照片。”
He continued: “Even more: When you request photos from your male friends, Facebookassumes that you wanted to see pictures of women. *Facepalm*”
他接著稱:“甚至,當你搜索你男性好友的照片,臉書還會認為你想要看女性的照片。“捂臉”的表情包。”
Screen shots of the issue accompanied his tweets, prompting responses that Facebook is“sexist” due to the way its internal search feature functions.
他的推文伴隨截圖,進一步說明臉書的這個內部搜索功能是一種“性別歧視”。
Another user then noted how Facebook's search bar automatically suggested photos of femalefriends in bikinis, which was confirmed in tests by The Independent.
另外一名用戶發(fā)現(xiàn)臉書的搜索引擎會自動推薦女性好友比基尼照片,測試結果由《獨立報》確認。
“These are abusive search suggestions and should be addressed,” said Jennifer Grygiel, anassistant progessor of communications at Syracuse University.

Facebook originally stated in a comment to media outlets that it was the result of “a bug” withits search function, however the social network issued a further clarification to explain it isnot a glitch but simply how the search feature works.
一開始臉書對此回應是他們的搜索系統(tǒng)出現(xiàn)“故障”。之后這個社交媒體對此澄清稱,這不是一個小故障,而是搜索功能是這樣工作的。
A spokesperson for Facebook said the tech giant is working to fix the issue but at the time ofwriting the controversial search suggestions were still appearing.
臉書的一位發(fā)言人稱,正對此問題進行修復,但是截至發(fā)稿之前,這個問題還是沒有解決。
