“水立方杯”中文歌曲演唱賽唱響洛杉磯

A singing contest of Chinese songs for overseas Chinese was held in Los Angeles on Sunday.

上周日，洛杉磯舉行了一場(chǎng)海外華人歌曲演唱比賽。

The contest is part of the "Water Cube Cup" Chinese Songs Singing Competition, a global activity designed to introducing Chinese culture and telling Chinese stories to the world.

該比賽是“水立方杯”中文歌曲演唱比賽的一部分，這是一項(xiàng)旨在向世界介紹中國文化和講述中國故事的全球性活動(dòng)。

A total of 72 participants joined the singing contest, and 12 of them got awards. Three first-prize winners of Sunday's contest will participate in the final of "Water Cube Cup" Chinese Songs Singing Competition scheduled in August in Beijing.

共有72人參加了歌唱比賽，其中12人獲獎(jiǎng)。周日比賽的三位一等獎(jiǎng)得主將參加定于8月在北京舉行的“水立方杯”中文歌曲演唱比賽決賽。

Addressing the contest, Chinese Deputy Consul General in Los Angeles Dai Shuangming called the Water Cube a bridge between overseas Chinese and their motherland. He encouraged overseas Chinese to act as envoys for promoting China-U.S. cultural exchanges and spreading Chinese culture.

中國駐洛杉磯副總領(lǐng)事戴雙明在致辭中稱，水立方是海外華人與祖國的橋梁。他鼓勵(lì)海外華人擔(dān)任促進(jìn)中美關(guān)系發(fā)展的特使。文化交流，傳播中華文化。

The Water Cube is still a beautiful symbol for the Beijing Olympic Games 11 years after it was held in 2008, Dai added.

他補(bǔ)充說，在2008年北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)舉辦11年后，水立方仍然是北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)美麗的象征。

Hao Ruiran, one of the top prize winners, told Xinhua he likes singing Chinese songs from his childhood. He believes Chinese songs are full of charms and cultural connotation.

最高獎(jiǎng)得主之一郝瑞然告訴記者，他從小就喜歡唱中文歌曲。他認(rèn)為中國歌曲充滿魅力和文化內(nèi)涵。

It is the second time the 16-year-old participated in the singing contest. He said he expects to show his best in the final competition in Beijing.

這是16歲的他第二次參加歌唱比賽。他說，他希望在北京的決賽中展現(xiàn)自己最好的一面。

Zhou Yanyu, head of the organizing committee, told Xinhua that each year, about 7,000 participants join the singing contest in over 40 divisions of 25 countries. Some 110 winners from preliminary contest overseas will compete in the final in Beijing.

組委會(huì)主席周燕宇在接受記者采訪時(shí)表示，每年有來自25個(gè)國家40多個(gè)賽區(qū)的約7000名選手參加歌唱比賽。來自海外的110名預(yù)賽獲勝者將在北京參加決賽。

The "Water Cube Cup" Chinese Songs Singing Competition is sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Chinese State Council, the Beijing municipal government and the All-China Youth Federation.

“水立方杯”中文歌曲演唱比賽由國務(wù)院僑務(wù)辦公室、北京市政府、中華全國青年聯(lián)合會(huì)主辦。
