中國(guó)批準(zhǔn)了兩種用于臨床試驗(yàn)的實(shí)驗(yàn)性Covid-19疫苗

China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the new coronavirus that killed over 100,000 people worldwide, state media Xinhua reported on Tuesday.

據(jù)新華社周二報(bào)道，中國(guó)已批準(zhǔn)兩種實(shí)驗(yàn)性疫苗的早期人體試驗(yàn)，以對(duì)抗新型冠狀病毒。該病毒在全世界造成10萬(wàn)人死亡。

The vaccines are being developed by a Beijing-based unit of Nasdaq-listed Sinovac Biotech, and by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of state-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group.

這些疫苗是由納斯達(dá)克上市公司科興生物科技(Sinovac Biotech)的北京子公司和國(guó)有企業(yè)中國(guó)醫(yī)藥集團(tuán)(China National Pharmaceutical Group)的子公司武漢生物制品研究所(Wuhan Institute of Biological Products)聯(lián)合開(kāi)發(fā)的。

In March, China have the green-light for another clinical trial for a coronavirus vaccine candidate developed by military-backed China's Academy of Military Medical Sciences and HK-listed biotech firm CanSino Bio, shortly after US drug developer Moderna said it had begun human tests for their vaccine with the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said Monday that a safe and effective vaccine would be needed to fully halt the spread of Covid-19, which has killed more than 114,000 people worldwide.

世界衛(wèi)生組織(WHO)周一表示，需要一種安全有效的疫苗，來(lái)完全阻止已導(dǎo)致全球11.4萬(wàn)人死亡的Covid-19的傳播。

"Our global connectedness means the risk of re-introduction and resurgence of Covid-19 will continue," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a virtual briefing from Geneva, stressing that "ultimately, the development and delivery of a safe and effective vaccine will be needed to fully interrupt transmission."
