中國批準(zhǔn)了兩種用于臨床試驗(yàn)的實(shí)驗(yàn)性Covid-19疫苗

China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the new coronavirus that killed over 100,000 people worldwide, state media Xinhua reported on Tuesday.

據(jù)新華社周二報(bào)道，中國已批準(zhǔn)兩種實(shí)驗(yàn)性疫苗的早期人體試驗(yàn)，以對抗新型冠狀病毒。該病毒在全世界造成10萬人死亡。

The vaccines are being developed by a Beijing-based unit of Nasdaq-listed Sinovac Biotech, and by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of state-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group.

這些疫苗是由納斯達(dá)克上市公司科興生物科技(Sinovac Biotech)的北京子公司和國有企業(yè)中國醫(yī)藥集團(tuán)(China National Pharmaceutical Group)的子公司武漢生物制品研究所(Wuhan Institute of Biological Products)聯(lián)合開發(fā)的。

In March, China have the green-light for another clinical trial for a coronavirus vaccine candidate developed by military-backed China's Academy of Military Medical Sciences and HK-listed biotech firm CanSino Bio, shortly after US drug developer Moderna said it had begun human tests for their vaccine with the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

今年3月，在美國藥物開發(fā)商 Moderna 宣布已經(jīng)開始在美國國立衛(wèi)生研究院進(jìn)行人體試驗(yàn)之后不久，中國為由軍方支持的中國軍事醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)院，和在香港上市的生物技術(shù)公司 CanSino Bio 開發(fā)的冠狀病毒候選疫苗的另一項(xiàng)臨床試驗(yàn)開了綠燈。

The World Health Organization (WHO) said Monday that a safe and effective vaccine would be needed to fully halt the spread of Covid-19, which has killed more than 114,000 people worldwide.

世界衛(wèi)生組織(WHO)周一表示，需要一種安全有效的疫苗，來完全阻止已導(dǎo)致全球11.4萬人死亡的Covid-19的傳播。

"Our global connectedness means the risk of re-introduction and resurgence of Covid-19 will continue," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a virtual briefing from Geneva, stressing that "ultimately, the development and delivery of a safe and effective vaccine will be needed to fully interrupt transmission."
