英語幽默笑話：律師的狗

A lawyer's dog, running about unleashed, beelines for (直奔) a butcher shop and steals a roast.

一個律師的狗掙開繩索跑了，直奔肉店偷了塊烤肉。

Butcher goes to lawyer's office and asks, "if a dog running unleashed steals a piece of meat from my store, do I have a right to demand payment for the meat from the dog's owner?"

屠夫去律師的辦公室問他：“如果一個人的狗跑到我店里偷了塊肉，我有沒有權(quán)利要求狗的主人付賬?”

The lawyer answers, "Absolutely."

律師回答“當然。”

"Then you owe me $8.50. Your dog was loose and stole a roast from me today."

“那你欠我8.5美元，你的狗跑掉了，偷了我家一塊肉。”

The lawyer, without a word, writes the butcher a check for$8.50.

律師什么也沒說，就給他開了8.5美元的支票。

Several days later the butcher opens the mail and finds anenvelope from the lawyer: $20 due for a consultation.
