雪
你看見過雪嗎？世界上有很多人都沒有見過。許多國家從來不下雪——或者只有在很高的山頂上有雪。在加拿大，每個冬天都下很多雪，但美國南部通常很少下雪。 當一個來自像越南這樣溫暖的國家的學生在秋天第一次到加拿大時，他首先感覺到的就是寒冷，而大多數(shù)來自溫暖國家的學生不喜歡這么冷的天氣。
雪就不同。雖然雪很冷，但是很漂亮。也許，在幾個陰沉的早晨之后，有一天，學生醒來時房間里很亮。他會想，“天很晚了嗎？”然后跳下床，可是不對，并不是很晚。他朝窗外看去—是雪，地上是雪，到處都是雪。原來他房間里的光亮來自光滑、干凈、美麗的白雪。
76 Snow
Have you ever seen snow? A lot of people in the world have not. A lot of countries never have snow — or have it only on the tops of very high mountains. In Canada there is quite a lot of snow every winter, but in the southern US there is usually very little.
When a student from a warm country like Vietnam comes to Canada in the autumn for the first time, he feels cold at first, and most students from warm countries do not like this.
Snow is different. Although it is very cold, it is also very beautiful.
Perhaps, after several dark mornings, the student wakes up one day, and there is a lot of light in his room. He thinks, "Is it so late?"and jumps out of bed, but no, it is not very late. He looks out the window — and there is snow, on the ground and everywhere. The light in his room came from that smooth, clean, beautiful white snow.
