1. Just what the doctor ordered!
Ah, a long, cool, refreshing drink! Just what the doctor ordered!
2. Music to one's ears
Her words were music to my ears.(聽(tīng)她這么說(shuō),我很高興。)
3. Hit the spot
This cool drink really hits the spot.(這杯冰飲真過(guò)癮!) There's only half an hour left, so I'll just hit the high spots.
4. Hit the right note
表達(dá)說(shuō)話做事很合時(shí)宜,可用hit the right note,如:Her proposal hit the right note with the company's new president.(她的新提案令公司的新總裁非常滿意。)反之,可用hit the wrong/sour note表達(dá)。
5. Read my mind
-How about a drink, then?
-You read my mind.
