母親節(jié)英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌二則

今天是母親節(jié)，母親節(jié)最早起源于古希臘，是每年的一月八日，在這一天古希臘人向希臘眾神之母希布莉致敬，后來(lái)，在17世紀(jì)中葉，母親節(jié)流傳到英國(guó)，英國(guó)人把封齋期的第四個(gè)星期天作為母親節(jié)。艾思口語(yǔ)老師從文獻(xiàn)了解到，在這一天里，出門在外的年輕人將回到家中，給他們的母親帶上一些小禮物。再后來(lái)，安娜在美國(guó)的奔走呼吁下建立了現(xiàn)代意義的母親節(jié)，在這一天，所有的孩子都向母親表達(dá)深深地愛(ài)意。

母親節(jié)是在中國(guó)港澳臺(tái)地區(qū)流行起來(lái)之后才進(jìn)入大陸的，名貴的珠寶，象征母愛(ài)的康乃馨，特制的愛(ài)心甜點(diǎn)，精致的手工賀卡等，成為人們向母親敬獻(xiàn)愛(ài)意的禮物。從80年代起，母親節(jié)才在內(nèi)地繁榮興盛起來(lái)。特別從1988年開(kāi)始，中國(guó)南方的廣州等一些城市開(kāi)始舉辦母親節(jié)的慶祝活動(dòng)，并把評(píng)選“好母親”作為內(nèi)容之一。其實(shí)在母親眼里，愛(ài)不是傳統(tǒng)意義上的珠寶翡翠，而是噓寒問(wèn)暖的體貼之心，十月懷胎，一朝分娩，含辛茹苦，養(yǎng)育成人，母親之愛(ài)，我們?cè)撛趺磮?bào)答呢?

母親的愛(ài)

There is no love, like a mother's love,

no stronger bond on earth...

like the precious bond that comes from God,

to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,

never changing for all time...

and when her children need her most,

a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,

God bless them every one...

for all the tears and heartache,

and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,

a mother's love lives on...

through many generations,

with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,

for they love with a higher love...
