Ten Commandments　自由思想十誡

1. Do not feel absolutely certain of anything.

（1） 凡事不要抱絕對肯定的態(tài)度；

2. Do not think it worthwhile to produce belief by concealing evidence, for the evidence is sure to come to light.

（2） 不值得有試圖隱瞞證據(jù)的想法，因?yàn)樽C據(jù)最終會(huì)被暴露出來；

3. Never try to discourage thinking, for you are sure to succeed.

（3） 不要害怕思考，因?yàn)樗伎伎偰茏屓擞兴砸妫?

4. When you meet with opposition, even if it is from your family, endeavor to overcome it with argument and not by authority, for a victory dependent upon authority is unreal and illusory.

（4） 當(dāng)有人與你意見相左時(shí)，應(yīng)該用論證去說服他們，而不是用權(quán)威去征服，因?yàn)橐揽繖?quán)威取得的勝利是虛幻而自欺欺人的；

5. Have no respect for the authority of others, for there are always contrary authorities to be found.

（5） 不用盲目地崇拜任何權(quán)威，因?yàn)槟憧偰苷业较喾吹臋?quán)威；

6. Do not use power to suppress opinions you think pernicious, for if you do, the opinions will suppress you.

（6） 不要用權(quán)力去壓制你認(rèn)為有害的意見，如果你這樣做了，只能說明你自己受到了這些意見的壓制；

7. Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.

（7） 不要害怕自己持有獨(dú)特的看法，因?yàn)槲覀儸F(xiàn)在所接受的每一個(gè)常識，曾經(jīng)都是獨(dú)特的；

8. Find more pleasure in intelligent dissent than in passive agreement, for if you value intelligence as you should, the former implies a deeper agreement than the latter.

（8） 與其被動(dòng)地同意別人的看法，不如理智地表示異議，因?yàn)槿绻阆嘈抛约旱闹腔?，那么你的異議正表明了更多的贊同；

9. Be scrupulousl truthful even if the truth is inconvenient, for it is more inconvenient when you try to conceal it.

（9） 即使真相并不令人愉快，也一定要做到誠實(shí)，因?yàn)檠谏w真相往往要花費(fèi)更大的力氣；

10. Do not feel envious of the happiness of those who live in a fool’s paradise, for only a fool will think that is happiness.

（10） 不要嫉妒那些在蠢人的天堂里享受幸福的人，因?yàn)橹挥写廊瞬乓詾槟鞘切腋！?
