Emily Bronte
愛密莉·勃朗特（Emily Bronte，1818-1848），英國十九世紀(jì)著名的勃朗特三姐妹之一。一生都在家鄉(xiāng)約克郡的曠野山鄉(xiāng)度過?；臎龆靶缘拇笞匀粚λ男愿窈蛣?chuàng)作產(chǎn)生了重要影響。她寫出過不少感情豐富，寓意深刻，具有一定象征色彩的詩作。它們表現(xiàn)愛情，探討人生，思考死亡，在風(fēng)格和氣質(zhì)上與她的小說《呼嘯山莊》相呼應(yīng)。強(qiáng)烈的感情沖撞，精神與心靈的震蕩，形成了她的詩歌和小說的共同氣質(zhì)。愛密莉的作品在當(dāng)時(shí)并不被人注意，直至20世紀(jì)中葉她的詩名才被真正確立。

Ah! why, because the dazzling sun

The curtains waved, the wakened flies

Were murmuring round my room,
