英語(yǔ)童話：諱不識(shí)字

　　中國(guó)成語(yǔ)寓言故事:Resenting Being Considered Illiterate諱不識(shí)字(雙語(yǔ))

　　A man wrote a letter and had it sent to a rich man to borrow an ox.

　　有個(gè)人寫了一封信，派人去向一個(gè)富翁借頭牛。

　　The rich man was just receiving guests.

　　富翁正在會(huì)客。

　　He was illiterate, but he resented very much being considered illiterate. Upon receiving the letter, he opened the envelope, and skimmed through the letter as if he could read. Then he said to the messenger:

　　富翁不識(shí)字，但是他卻最忌諱人家說(shuō)他不識(shí)字。他一接到信，就拆開(kāi)信封，裝出識(shí)字的樣子，默默地看了一遍，然后對(duì)來(lái)人說(shuō):

　　"All right. I will go in a little while."

　　“知道了，等一會(huì)兒我就去!”
