You Are My Life你是我的生命

　　There was a boy who was sent to a boarding school[寄宿學校]. He used to be the brightest student in his class. He was at the top in every competition. But things changed after that. His grades started dropping. He hated being in a group. He was lonely all the time. He felt worthless and that no one loved him.

　　His parents began to worry. But even they did not know what was wrong. So his dad decided to visit the school and talk with him.

　　They sat on the bank of the lake near the school. The father started asking him casual[隨便的] questions about his classes, teachers and sports. Then he asked, “Do you know, son, why I am here today?”

　　The boy said, “To check my grades?”

　　“No, no,” his dad replied. “I am here to tell you that you are the most important person for me. I want to see you happy. I don’t care about grades. I care about you. I care about your happiness. YOU ARE MY LIFE.”

　　Now the boy had everything he wanted. He knew there was someone on this Earth who cared for him deeply. He meant the world to someone.

　　Thanks a lot, Dad. YOU ARE MY LIFE.

　　一個男孩被送到寄宿學校念書。他以前是班上最聰明的學生，在所有競賽中都獨占鰲頭。到了寄宿學校后情況卻變了。他的成績開始下滑，討厭團體活動，總是形單影只。他覺得自己一無是處，沒人再愛他了。

　　他的父母開始為他擔憂。但就連他們也不知道出了什么問題。于是，他的父親決定到學校走一趟，跟他好好談一談。

　　他們坐在學校附近的湖岸上。父親一開始只是問兒子一些平常的問題，例如他上了什么課、老師怎么樣、進行什么運動等。然后他問：“兒子，你知道我今天為什么到這里來嗎?”

　　男孩說：“來查看我的成績?”

　　“不，不，”他的父親回答。“我來是為了告訴你，你是我最重要的人。我希望看到你開心。我在乎的不是成績。我在乎的是你。我在乎的是你過得快快樂樂。你是我的生命。”

　　現(xiàn)在，這個男孩擁有他需要的一切了。他知道在這個世界上有人非常非常關心他，他就是這個人的一切。

　　非常感謝您，爸爸。您是我的生命。
