　　亞洲運動會簡稱亞運會，是亞洲地區(qū)規(guī)模最大的綜合性運動會，每四年舉辦一屆，與奧林匹克運動會相間舉行。最初由亞洲運動會聯(lián)合會主辦，1982年后由亞洲奧林匹克理事會主辦。自1951年第一屆始，迄今共舉辦了15屆。國際奧林匹克委員會承認亞洲運動會為正式的亞洲地區(qū)運動會。
