A wolf had been badly wounded by dogs.He lay sick and maimed in his lair. He felt very hungry and thirsty.

狼被狗所咬，傷勢很嚴(yán)重。他臥病在床，在巢穴里茍延殘喘。他感到又餓又渴。

When a sheep passed by, he asked him to fetch some water from the stream. “If you bring me the water,” he said, “I will find means to get some food. ”

一只羊路過，他便請求羊到附近的小河里為他取一點(diǎn)水來。“你給我一點(diǎn)水解渴，” 他說，“我就能想出辦法去獲取食物了。”

“Yes, ”said the sheep, “If I bring you water,you would become my food without doubt.”
