Urban Legends 都市傳奇 A : Have you read all these crazy things that are going on around the world?

B : What do you mean?

A : I was reading about how some people get tricked or drugged in their hotel rooms and have their organs removed! Then they are sold on the black market.

B : Don't tell me you actually believe all that? Don't be so gullible, they are just urbanlegends. They are just stories people make up to scare you.

A : Well, I was also reading about how some popular songs have subliminal or even satanic messages if you play them backwards! Can you believe that?

1. drug 名詞有藥;毒品;麻醉藥;滯銷貨的意思。動(dòng)詞有使服麻醉藥;使服毒品;摻麻醉藥于的意思。

2. make up 彌補(bǔ);組成;化妝;整理
Life is just a series of trying to make up your mind. 生活就是由一系列你下定決心去做的事組成的。
But next year, tax rises will make up nearly half of it. 但明年,稅收的增長(zhǎng)將會(huì)彌補(bǔ)一半縮減的開支。

3. too...to... 太……以致不能……

4. far-fetched 牽強(qiáng)的;不自然的;牽強(qiáng)附會(huì)的;不靠譜的
He still wasn't too sure that was so far fetched. 他還不敢說自己的這種想法是牽強(qiáng)的。
Emotional aim is described far-fetched without features. 情感目標(biāo)表述牽強(qiáng),不具有特性。
