　　LOS ANGELES: Global blockbuster movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" broke records in China with an estimated US$33 million in ticket sales on its first day in the world's second-largest film market, Walt Disney Co said on Saturday.

　　The figure represents the Disney film studio's biggest opening day ever in China and the highest Saturday opening day in the country in industry history, the company said.

　　該公司稱，這一數(shù)據(jù)表明，這是迪斯尼電影公司在中國電影市場首映日票房最高的電影，也是在中國電影史上周六首映日票房最高的一部。

　　"Force Awakens," the seventh installment in the science fiction franchise created by George Lucas, is the top-grossing movie of all time in the biggest movie market - the United States and Canada - and has set records around the world.

　　《原力覺醒》為喬治·盧卡斯創(chuàng)作的科幻電影《星球大戰(zhàn)》系列的第七部，一直以來占據(jù)著最大電影市場——美國和加拿大的票房榜首，并且在世界各地創(chuàng)造票房記錄。

　　Global sales through Thursday reached US$1.6 billion, Disney said. Updated results will be released on Sunday.
