今天這個對話內(nèi)容，

是很親密的朋友之間才會聊起的話題喲，

來聽聽是什么內(nèi)容:

A: I liked meeting your boyfriend at the party. I think he seems like a good guy.

我在party上看到了你的男朋友，他看上去很不錯。

B：I'm glad you like him. Steve and I get along well.

我很開心你喜歡他。我們相處得很不錯。

A : He’s very funny.

他很有趣。

B: Sometimes I think he's too funny. He's like a clown.

他有時候太好玩了，像一個小丑。

A: How long have you been going out?

你們相處多久了？

B: Almost a year now.

將近一年了。

A: Do you think you will marry?

你認為你會嫁給他嗎？

B: Marry? No, I don't think about it. Anyway, I don't think I'd want to marry Steve.

嫁給他？我覺得不會。不管怎么說，我還是不會嫁給他。

A: Not at all?

一點都沒戲嗎？

B: Well, maybe later. When I'm thirty-something. But now I'm too young.

可能要過幾年吧。等我三十多歲的時候?，F(xiàn)在我還太年輕了。

A: Does it bother your parents?

你的父母會擔心嗎？

B: What?

A: That you don't want to get married. Don't they pressure you?

B: No, not at all. Why should they pressure me?

A: Usually parents want their daughter to find a good guy.

通常父母都希望他們的女兒找到一個好的小伙子。

B: Yes, I understand. I've heard that before about Chinese culture. And me, I wouldn't tolerate my parents telling me what to do. I'm an adult.

是的，我明白。我知道在中國的文化里這樣的情況會比較多。但是，我不會讓我的父母來擺布我的。我是個成年人了。

A: You are very independent.

你很獨立。

B: Why shouldn't I be? Who I go out with is my business, not my father's. If he doesn't like someone I like, then he will tell me. Do you want to marry someone your parents choose for you?

我為什么不呢？我和誰約會是我自己的事情，不是我父親的。如果他不喜歡我所喜歡的人，他會告訴我。你會娶你父母為你選擇的人嗎？

A: My parents want me to marry a doctor or a lawyer.?

我的父母希望我可以娶一個醫(yī)生或者律師。
