A: so, have you seen all three The Lord of the Rings movies?

B: yes, but I didn't really like the third one at all.

都看過(guò),不過(guò)我一點(diǎn)兒也不喜歡第三部.

A: that's the Return of the King, right?

是國(guó)王歸來(lái),對(duì)嗎?

B: yeah. Even though the customs were brilliant, I didn't think it was as good as the first two. What did you think?

對(duì).盡管服裝做得很精致,但我還是覺(jué)得不如前兩部拍的好.你覺(jué)得呢?

A: I thought the special effects were amazing, but I got a bit confused. The plot was too complicated for me.

我覺(jué)得特技做得棒極了,不過(guò)我有點(diǎn)兒沒(méi)看明白.情節(jié)對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)太復(fù)雜了.

B: did you read the books before you watched the movies?

你看電影之前看過(guò)原著嗎?

A: no. did you?

沒(méi)有.你看過(guò)嗎?

B: yes, I've read them many times. I think it's much easier to follow for people who were already familiar with all the characters.

看過(guò),而且看過(guò)很多遍.我覺(jué)得對(duì)書中的人物角色熟悉了之后,再去理解電影里的人物就能容易得多.

A: yes, trying to keep track of all the characters was quite confusing for me.

B: I also think that it was much better in the theatre than at home.

而且我還覺(jué)得,去電影院比在家的觀影效果要好得多.

A: most movies are. Another problem for me was the film was dubbed in German with English subtitles.

大多數(shù)片子是這樣的.還有個(gè)問(wèn)題,就是這部電影是德語(yǔ)配音,英文字幕.

B: that happens a lot in non-English speaking countries.

這種情況在非英語(yǔ)國(guó)家很常見.

A: I heard that The Return of the King was nominated for 11 Oscars.

我聽說(shuō)國(guó)王歸來(lái)獲得了11項(xiàng)奧斯卡提名.

B: actually, they not only had 11 nominations, but they won 11 Oscars, too!
其實(shí)不僅僅是榮獲11項(xiàng)提名,它還獲得了11項(xiàng)奧斯卡獎(jiǎng)!
