海龜在黃金海岸機(jī)場截停捷星飛機(jī)

A troublesome turtle brought a passenger plane to a grinding halt after it went for a wander on the tarmac at Gold Coast Airport.

在黃金海岸機(jī)場的停機(jī)坪上，一只麻煩的烏龜在悠閑地漫步后，把一架客機(jī)截停了。

The pilot of a Jetstar flight, bound for Adelaide, had to apply the brakes after the reptile got too close for comfort as the plane was taxiing ahead of take-off on Thursday night.

捷星航空(Jetstar)一架飛往阿德萊德(Adelaide)的航班周四晚間起飛前滑行時(shí)，因這只爬行動(dòng)物靠得太近，讓飛行員感到不妥，飛行員不得不踩了剎車。

Fearing the turtle could be sucked into the plane's right engine, the pilot radioed the control tower for help, only to be told it wasn't the critter's first offence.

由于擔(dān)心這只海龜會(huì)被吸入飛機(jī)的右引擎，飛行員用無線電向控制塔臺(tái)求救，結(jié)果卻被告知這不是這只海龜?shù)牡谝淮螕v亂。

"They said he'd been up there earlier in the day as well. It was the second time they'd had to move him," Jetstar spokesman James Fuller told the ABC.

A safety car was sent out to remove the turtle and pilots at the airport are keeping a keen eye out in case it decides to return.
