　　Dear Miss Susie Wang,

　　Thank you very much for writing. It gave me great pleasure to receive your letter.

　　I’m not surprised that your brother didn’t give you any details about the accident, because I didn’t tell him much. Actually, I’d rather not tell too many people how it happened, since I myself am to blame for it. I am willing to tell you, though.

　　What happened is I turned right on a red light. Just as I rounded the corner, a taxi cut in front of me to pick up a passenger. I couldn’t stop or go around in time, so I ran into him and was thrown off my motorbike. Fortunately, I was wearing a helmet, but I still broke my left arm and hurt my back and left leg, too. You can be sure I’ll try to obey traffic regulations in the future.

　　非常感謝你的來信。你的來信令我十分的高興。

　　對于你哥哥沒向你詳細描述那場車禍我并不感到意外，因為我并沒有跟他說很多。事實上，我真不愿向太多人說那起車禍是怎么發(fā)生的，因為我該為那場意外負責任。然而，我還是愿意告訴你。

　　事情的發(fā)生是因我在紅燈時右轉(zhuǎn)。正當我彎過轉(zhuǎn)角時，一輛出租車切入我面前去搭載乘客。我無法及時停住或轉(zhuǎn)彎，所以我就撞上他，也彈離了我的摩托車。幸運地是，我戴了安全帽，但仍摔斷了左手臂，而背部及左腿也受了傷。你可以確定我以后將會遵守交通規(guī)則了。
