A.adj / adv + er / est

B.詞尾e + r / st

C.重讀閉音節(jié)中短元音 + 輔音詞尾→雙寫輔音詞尾 + er / est.

big→bigger→biggest hot→hotter→hottest

D.輔音 + y→i + er / est

dry→drier→driest angry→angrier→angriest

E.多音節(jié)形容詞及副詞：

F.不規(guī)則變化：

比較級(jí)用于二者相比較，由than構(gòu)成比較狀語(yǔ)從句：
