not to speak of意為“不用說”，相當(dāng)于not to mention。但是二者并不完全一樣：not to mention后面可以接句子，而not to speak of后面只能接名詞或名詞性短語。如：
We're too busy to take a long holiday this year, not to mention the fact that we can't afford it. 我們今年太忙，不能去度長假，更何況我們也出不起這筆錢。
