雅思聽力備考之相貌場景的考點及詞匯

　　描述人物相貌特征的場景，即相貌場景是IELTS的一個考點，這個考點僅出現(xiàn)在Section1中，根據(jù)統(tǒng)計結(jié)果，在過去已經(jīng)考過的Version中，有3個Version考到了相貌場景，它們分別是：Version 23的Section 1; Version 25的Section 1; Version 31的Section 1。下面首先介紹一下這三個Version的具體考點：

　　Version 23: 兩名強盜搶劫了一位老婦人，證人向警察描述兩個罪犯的特征，證人描述the young thief was 17 years old, curly black hair, tall and slim，whereas the elder thief was 35 years old, the distinguished feature was a small scar in his chin.

　　Version 25: Alex向一個男孩描述她的祖母：Alex's grandmother came from Russia and she was a dancer，her appearance was blond hair and beautiful.

　　Version 31: 要求考生選出一個男生的特征，文章說他wear glasses and with beard and moustache

　　這個考點常見的題型為填空題和選擇題(包括文字選擇和圖形選擇)。為了在這部分上不失分，考生一定要熟悉常見的描述人物相貌特征的詞匯以及常用的表達方式。主要的特征類別包括年紀、體型、面部特征、頭發(fā)、著裝等。下面分別對這些類別加以描述。

　　年紀：young(年輕的),old(年長的), years old(歲數(shù))

　　體型：tall(高)，high(高),short(矮), small (矮小的)，fat(胖)，stocky(結(jié)實的)，slim(瘦的), thin(瘦的)，slender(苗條的)，medium-built(中等身材的)。Beautiful(漂亮的), 170 centimeters tall(讀作one metre seventy-five，170cm高)。同時大家應記住這些詞合理的組合方式，比如tall and slim，不應該是short and slim。

　　面部特征： beard(下巴上的胡子)and moustache(上唇的胡子),clean-shaven(胡子刮得很干凈)，dimple(酒窩), scar(疤痕)，chin(下巴)。注意這些詞的相互搭配。比如a small scar in his chin。常佩戴的東西有jewelry(珠寶)，hat(帽子)和glasses(眼鏡)。

　　頭發(fā)：curly black hair(卷曲的黑色頭發(fā)), blond hair(金發(fā)), pigtail(辮子), wavy hair(卷發(fā)), straight hair(直發(fā)), short hair(短發(fā)), long hair(長發(fā)), spiky hair(短而直的頭發(fā))。

　　著裝： formal dress(正式的服裝)：suit and tie(西裝領帶)，casual dress(非正式的服裝)：jeans and T shirts(牛仔褲T恤衫)，loose clothes(寬松的服裝)，tight clothes(緊身服)，shirt(男式襯衫)，女裙(skirt)，white(白色),dark(黑色),black(黑色),light(淺色)。

　　注意：在描述一個人的特征時，大部分場合是用肯定句直接陳述出來的，但有時會用一些語氣和否定句來表達前后之間的變化，聽的時候一定要小心。比如下面的例句：

　　問題：What does Bill look like now?

　　文本：You’ve changed since this photo! What happened to your beard and moustache? And you’re not wearing glasses either.

　　大家首先應該聽到這句話的關鍵詞changed，接下來的一句話What happened to your beard and moustache? 說明Bill已經(jīng)沒有胡子了;而And you’re not wearing glasses either，是一個否定句，他也不戴眼鏡了，考生應該能夠聽出not這個詞，此外either也是否定句的一個標志。根據(jù)這兩個特征即可選出正確答案。
