這天Catherine遇到一家公司，只經(jīng)過(guò)了一輪面試就通知她被錄取了，但是要求她交1000元的崗前培訓(xùn)費(fèi)，Catherine將這件事告訴了Jenny，Jenny說(shuō)"The company seems fishy." Catherine又不明白了，便問(wèn)她是什么意思

C：I am hired by a company that interviewed me only once.But they asked for 1000 yuan as the training tuition.
C： 有個(gè)公司只面試了我一次就把我錄取了 但是他們要我交1000塊錢的培訓(xùn)費(fèi)
J:：The company seems fishy.
J：這個(gè)公司聽(tīng)起來(lái)很可疑
C:：Is it a company related to fish?
C：這個(gè)公司和魚有關(guān)系嗎？
J:：No.I mean the company seems to be cheating you.You should be careful.
J：不是。我的意思是這個(gè)公司好像在騙你。你要當(dāng)心
C:：You are right .I will.
C：你說(shuō)的對(duì)，我會(huì)的

 The company seems fishy.這個(gè)公司聽(tīng)起來(lái)很可疑

fishy和fish很像，但是fishy這個(gè)詞的意思和魚沒(méi)什么關(guān)系。我們都知道魚是滑溜溜的，不好抓住。fishy這個(gè)詞就是從這個(gè)意思引申出去，成了“靠不住的，可疑的”意思
 

【情景劇】

Amanda:The company told me that they would charge 200 dollars for training according to the tradition.
阿曼達(dá)：那家公司說(shuō)，按照慣例他們要收200美元的培訓(xùn)費(fèi)。
Carl:The company seems fishy.you should be careful.
卡爾：這家公司聽(tīng)起來(lái)很可疑。你應(yīng)該謹(jǐn)慎點(diǎn)。
