一、形容詞的位置

（一）形容詞通常用在名詞的前面，起修飾名詞的作用（形容詞+名詞）

Andy is a clever student.安迪是位聰明的學(xué)生。

Look at those black clouds.It's going to rain.看那些烏云，要下雨了。

Whose are the blue shoes？Mum's.藍(lán)色的鞋子是誰(shuí)的？媽媽的。

My maths teacher doesn't speak any foreign languages.我的數(shù)學(xué)老師不會(huì)說(shuō)任何外國(guó)語(yǔ)言。

（二）形容詞可以放在be（am，is are）動(dòng)詞之后，作表語(yǔ)用來(lái)敘述、說(shuō)明主語(yǔ)。（am/is/are/was/were+形容詞）

I'm thirsty .Can I have something to drink？我渴了，能喝些東西嗎？

Danny is short and fat .丹尼又矮又胖。

Are you cold ？Shall I close the door？你冷嗎？需要我關(guān)門(mén)嗎？

Sh，be quiet .The teacher is coming.噓，安靜，老師過(guò)來(lái)了。

（三）當(dāng)形容詞修飾不定代詞something，anybody，nothing時(shí)，放在不定代詞后面（something/anybody/nothing+形容詞）

There's something wrong with the bicycle.自行車(chē)有些問(wèn)題。

Is there anything cheap in the supermarket？超市里有便宜的東西嗎？

—What's the matter？—It's nothing important .發(fā)生什么事了？沒(méi)什么重要的事。

（四）當(dāng)形容詞修飾的名詞前面還有冠詞（a，an，the）、代詞（my，this，that等）或數(shù)詞等修飾，它們的順序是：冠詞/代詞/數(shù)詞+形容詞+名詞

This is my favorite book.這是我最喜歡的書(shū)。

That's her new skirt.那是她的新裙子。

Those tall boys are in Class One.那些高個(gè)子男孩是一班的。

（五）當(dāng)兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上的形容詞修飾一個(gè)名詞時(shí)，通常與被修飾的名詞關(guān)系更密切、描述更具體的形容詞靠被修飾的名詞更近些。具體地說(shuō)，其排列順序是：

限定詞?描繪性形容詞?大小?形狀?年齡?顏色?國(guó)籍?材料

a big greedy bug 一只大的貪吃的蟲(chóng)

an old friendly teacher 一位善良的老教師

a nice quiet afternoon 一個(gè)美好的安靜的下午

two little fat white cats 兩只又白又肥的小貓

Tips：

表示“度量衡”的形容詞，往往放在所修飾名詞之后。

twenty feet broad 20英尺寬

six feet deep 六英尺深

seven meters long 七米長(zhǎng)

thirty meters high 三十米高

five years old 五歲
