母親，是世界上最神圣的字眼，它包含了最偉大的愛。“慈母手中線，游子身上衣”可能也是我們最熟悉的詩句了。今天，就讓我們借一首小詩，獻上對母親深深的愛吧!

You are not my birth mom - My real Mom wasn't you.

But You are oh so special - and the loving things you do

Make me feel so valuable - You cheer me up when I'm sad.

And If you were my Real Mom I know I would be glad.

Birth：表示“出世、誕生”等意思，比如，The birth of a child(小孩的出生)。在這里，birth表示“身世、出身”，You are not my birth mom就是“您(雖)不是我的親生母親”的意思。另外還有birth brothers and sisters就表示“同胞兄弟姐妹”的意思。

Cheer up：表示“使……振作起來”的意思，它的同義詞是buck up。如果你想安慰傷心的朋友，就可以說 Cheer up! The news is not so bad.(振作一點吧，也不是什么太壞的消 息)。這句話可是很頂用的呵!

On loan：on loan的本意是“借來的”。哇!借來的媽媽!你聽說過嗎?開個小玩笑，在這里on loan其實表示“非親生的”的意思。
